Vietnam’s Nui Phao multi-metal mine successfully solved the long-term mechanical vibration problem of flotation equipment through Metso Outotec’s FloatForce rotor-stator mechanism upgrade. The original flotation cell adopted a suspended stator structure mounted on the lower shaft, which was prone to structural resonance and equipment vibration during high-load operation, affecting equipment stability and flotation accuracy.

In the early stage of the project, the team completed a single-cell trial upgrade of the new rotor-stator mechanism. The optimized structural design effectively suppresses operational vibration without affecting metallurgical performance.

After the full promotion of the transformation, the overall operation stability of the flotation system is significantly improved, the equipment failure rate is reduced by 45%, and the service life of rotor-stator components is extended by more than 30%.
