Background:
A civil engineering firm is working on a major highway project in Kenya, involving massive earthmoving through areas with "Black Cotton Soil" (expansive clay) and volcanic rock deposits.
Challenge:
Black Cotton Soil is highly compactable and sticky, causing severe abrasion and blunting of standard teeth. The volcanic rock sections caused high impact shock. The operator struggled with constant tooth changes.
Solution:
We introduced our Long Teeth / Penetration Teeth. Their elongated profile creates a sharper attack angle, allowing them to slice through compacted soil more effectively and stay sharper for longer.
Result:
The long teeth reduced wear rates by 40% in the clay sections. In the rock zones, the robust design handled the impact without issue. The project manager noted that our teeth helped them stay ahead of their excavation schedule by 3 weeks.
