Latest company case about Optimization of key parameters of the KYF flotation machine stator (CFD simulation application)

A research institute took the KYF-0.03 flotation machine as the research object and used CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) method to explore the influence of stator blade thickness and impeller-stator axial clearance on the flow field performance of the flotation machine. By establishing a simulation model and verifying it through physical experiments, 10 groups of different blade thicknesses and 10 groups of different axial clearances were set up for testing. It was found that when the blade thickness increased from 2mm to 20mm, the average liquid phase velocity around the stator decreased by 77.30%; the influence of blade thickness and axial clearance on stirring power consumption showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing. Based on this, the stator parameters were optimized, making the turbulent kinetic energy distribution of the flotation machine more reasonable, the slurry dispersion effect improved, and the flotation efficiency increased by 5.1%, providing a theoretical basis for the structural design of the flotation machine stator.
