Peru Lead-Zinc Mine
In the flotation circuit of a lead-zinc mine in Peru, uneven wear of the stator and rotor caused imbalanced bubble distribution, affecting zinc recovery. We provided the customer with a custom-designed stator featuring optimized flow channels and a high-strength rotor. The new rotor generated more uniform shear forces, and the stator's flow channel layout increased slurry recirculation by 18%. Zinc concentrate grade remained stable above 52%, with a significant reduction in zinc loss in the tailings. This case has become a benchmark for optimizing flotation cell spare parts selection in local mines.
