KYF Flotation Machine Rotor-Stator Parameter Optimization Improves Slurry Stabilization Effect

Source: MDPI Process Engineering Academic & Industrial Application News

A domestic mineral processing technology team completed the parameter optimization and structural upgrade of KYF series flotation machine rotor and stator. Aiming at the problems of unstable slurry flow and severe swirling in traditional equipment, the optimized stator adopts an inclined suspended short-blade structure, and the rotor air distributor adopts a ±5° optimized taper angle design. The upgraded rotor-stator system effectively stabilizes the internal flow field of the flotation cell, suppresses slurry swirling, enhances bubble breakup and dispersion capabilities, and improves the mixing uniformity of ore slurry and chemical agents. Industrial test data shows that the optimized equipment reduces flotation dead zones, improves the grade of concentrate products, and realizes stable and efficient operation of the flotation process for various non-ferrous metal ores.
